Dear Readers, Diplomates, and Fellows,

It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the inaugural issue of the Journal of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology. As the Editor-in-Chief, I am honored to be a part of this publication. A publication that is committed to advancing the field of chiropractic neurology and promoting scientific research in this important discipline.

The Journal of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology aims to be a leading platform for the dissemination of cutting-edge research, clinical advancements, and evidence-based practices in the field of chiropractic neurology. Our mission is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, promote critical thinking, and enhance the understanding and application of neurology within the chiropractic profession in an effort to better serve our patients and communities.

As a specialist, the chiropractic neurologist is charged with combining the principles and practice of chiropractic with an advanced understanding of neurology. It is through the marriage of these two disciplines that chiropractic neurologists are able to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of neurologically based conditions, providing patients with care that is both effective and holistic. Additionally, in cases where the application of chiropractic neurology should not be the primary line of treatment, chiropractic neurologists are skilled in the process of referral to other experts within the healthcare arena.

The JIACN will feature original research articles, clinical case studies, literature reviews, and thought-provoking editorials from experts in the field. The peer-review process ensures that only the highest quality and most impactful articles are published, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the growth of evidence-based chiropractic neurology.

In addition to research articles, we will also include practical clinical guidelines, diagnostic protocols, and treatment approaches that can be readily applied by chiropractic neurologists in their day-to-day practice. An additional goal is the bridging of the gap which can exist between research consumption  and clinical application. It is my hope that this journal can serve as a springboard, providing chiropractic neurologists  guidance in the practical clinical application of the research presented.

Furthermore, the journal will provide a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, welcoming contributions from professionals across various related disciplines, such as neurology, neuroscience, chiropractic, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and orthopedics to name a few. This collaboration will foster a comprehensive and holistic understanding of the neurologic basis of both musculoskeletal disorders and chronic neurological syndromes, while simultaneously contributing to the understanding of the role of the chiropractic neurologist as part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

I would like to express my gratitude to the esteemed members of the editorial board, who have generously volunteered their time and expertise to ensure the success and integrity of this journal. Their dedication and commitment to advancing the field of chiropractic neurology are truly commendable.

Finally, I extend my sincere thanks to the authors who have entrusted us with their valuable work. It is through your contributions that the Journal will flourish and make a lasting impact on the field of chiropractic neurology.

I invite you to explore the pages of the Journal of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology and join us on our exploration of this unique and fulfilling field.
